By the end, learners will be able to write concise, objective, and legally compliant notes that reflect the client’s progress, support provided, and any incidents or concerns.

This training introduces behaviour support within the NDIS framework, focusing on safe, ethical, and legally compliant practices. Participants will understand how behaviour support plans (BSPs) work, the regulation of restrictive practices, and their responsibilities in ensuring the dignity and safety of people with disability or aged care participants.
Intermediate
The purpose of this course is to provide support workers with the knowledge and practical skills required to understand, manage, and reduce the use of physical restraint in disability and aged care settings. Physical restraint is recognised as an intrusive restrictive practice that should only ever be used as a last resort, when all other strategies have failed and there is an immediate risk of harm to the participant or others.
This training aims to ensure that learners understand the legal definition of physical restraint under the NDIS Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support Rules 2018, the serious risks associated with its misuse, and the conditions under which it may be applied. By completing this course, workers will be able to act safely, ethically, and in compliance with regulations, while protecting the dignity and rights of the people they support.
