The purpose of this course is to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and awareness of NDIS workers and staff in safeguarding children and young people. Safeguarding goes beyond simply responding to incidents, it is about proactively creating safe, supportive, and empowering environments where children’s rights, dignity, and wellbeing are protected at all times.
This training ensures that staff understand both their individual and organisational responsibilities under the NDIS Practice Standards, the Code of Conduct, and relevant state and federal child protection laws. Learners will develop the confidence to recognise risks, act appropriately, and follow the correct procedures when concerns arise.
