Course Description

The purpose of this course is to build knowledge and awareness of the rights and responsibilities of NDIS participants, ensuring that both workers and participants understand their roles within the NDIS framework. It aims to safeguard the dignity, safety, and independence of participants while supporting providers to meet compliance requirements under the NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Code of Conduct. By completing this course, learners will gain the confidence to recognise, respect, and promote participant rights, while also understanding the responsibilities participants hold in maintaining safe, respectful, and effective service relationships. The course promotes empowerment, inclusion, and accountability as essential values of high-quality disability support.

Course Outcomes
