The purpose of this course is to provide disability and aged care staff with a strong foundation in managing nutrition for participants with complex health needs. Nutrition directly impacts healing, energy, independence, and quality of life. In many NDIS and care settings, workers play a key role in implementing nutrition care plans, monitoring risks such as malnutrition, and ensuring safe mealtime practices. This course equips learners with the skills to recognise risks, apply safe and person-centred approaches, and work in compliance with both NDIS Practice Standards and Australian dietary guidelines.
