The purpose of this course is to provide learners with the essential knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to support participants living with neurological conditions in disability care environments. Neurological conditions such as epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, acquired brain injury, and stroke can significantly impact a participant’s independence, safety, and wellbeing. By understanding these conditions and their associated risks, learners will be able to deliver support that is safe, person-centred, and aligned with individual care plans. This course also ensures that learners understand how to integrate their daily practice with compliance requirements under the NDIS Practice Standards, workplace policies, and Australian healthcare guidelines.
