The purpose of this course is to build the capability of workers in disability and aged care settings to recognise, respond to, and support participants experiencing mental health challenges. Mental health first aid is often the first line of support when a person is in distress, facing a crisis, or showing early warning signs of a condition.
This training emphasises immediate and appropriate responses that prioritise participant safety and dignity, while also protecting the wellbeing of the worker. It aligns with the NDIS Practice Standards and broader Australian mental health guidelines, ensuring that learners are not only skilled in responding effectively but also compliant with legal and ethical frameworks.
