The primary purpose of this course is to give NDIS support workers and related staff the ability to create and maintain safe, supportive, and compliant home environments for participants. A safe home is not only free from immediate hazards but also promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing. This training will help workers develop practical skills in hazard identification, safe equipment use, emergency planning, and applying compliance frameworks.
By completing the course, workers will be able to balance participant choice and control with their duty of care, ensuring services meet the expectations of NDIS Practice Standards and community safety requirements.
